My brothers and sisters are dying in Haiti

When I first moved to Florida City I was introduced to one of the most beautiful families in my life. The Torres Family's blood line runs four strong, yet their line of love is unending. Many from Florida City have lived, ate, and learned how to love under their roof. Those that have passed through are not considered guest but family, and are called and claimed as, "brother" or "sister" by the Torres boys from the moment they move in the house.

While over the Torres home last night, which is where I spend most of my nights, I walked in to find a family concerned about one of their boys who was deeply disturbed. When I asked his mom what was going on she said that her boy was very upset about the earthquake. His mother reported to me that his exact cry was, "my brothers and sisters are dying in Haiti." When I heard his response I knew he meant this most literally as those who had lived with him are from Haiti and have family in Haiti, therefore the 8 yr. old boy knew that he too had family in Haiti, brothers and sisters. Yet, I also knew that one of the most faithful members of our mission, has been formed both at home and church that all are one family in Jesus Christ. May we keep prayer with Caleb and pray for our brothers and sisters who are dying in Haiti. My our children lead us in our thinking and praying over the next few weeks!
